Plugins allow you to add new features & shape to WordPress such as add a Widgets, sliders, SEO, Social Icon etc. There are many more free and Paid plugins available for WordPress. In this step by step tips, I we will show you how to install a WordPress plugin.
If you are using WordPress.com, then you cannot install plugins.
As you know WordPress.com providing free service for making blog. if you are using WordPress.com blog then you will not able to install Plugin or WordPress dashboard will not be there like self hosted blog. it is because WordPress.com has its limitations.

How to Install a WordPress Plugin
To make it easy, I have taken Screenshot for WordPress Plugin Installation you can see below.
Go to yo Dashboard Main Page and Click on Plugins as shown in below image.
Plugins » Add New.
Now Click on Install Now.
Now Plugin has been installed next step is Activate.
Now plugin is activated successfully you can use it.
How to Install WordPress Plugin Using WP Admin Panel
If you want to install paid plugin because paid version plugin will not be in WordPress admin panel like first step so you need to install via uploading zip file as shown in below image.
Click on Plugin>> Add New
Now Click on Upload Plugin.
Now Click on Choose File. Paid Plugin you can download in Zip file then only you can upload here.
Now next select your plugin Zip file and click Open.
Now you can see here i have selected Akismet.3.2.zip plugin and then click Install Now.
Now next Akismet Plugin has been successfully installed now click on Activate Plugin.
Now as you see in below image Akismet plugin activated successfully.
If you have any other plugin, just follow the same steps and install on you WordPress Blog.
How to Install a WordPress Plugin using FTP
some time in you WordPress Hosting provider may have file restrictions that could limit your ability to install a plugin from admin dashboard area. In this situation the best option is install plugin manually using FTP.
First you will need to download the plugin’s source file (it will be a zip file). Next, you need to extract the zip file on your local computer. after extracting the plugin zip file it will create a new folder with the same name. This folder you can upload on your server using FTP client.
For access your FTP client you need FTP user name & Password, then only you can connect your hosting. If you don’t know your FTP details you can ask you Hosting Provider company or you can get from you hosting control panel.
You can also open your hosting account of your website using web browser. Type in browser ftp.itsolutiontricks.com and then it will ask your hosting username & password, and click ok. Once connected, you need to access the path
Next, upload the folder you extracted from the zip file to the
/wp-content/plugins/ folder on your web server.
